SAIC seeks an onsite network engineer at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM to support Space Systems Command. The role focuses on monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure including Cisco routers/switches, Palo Alto firewalls, SolarWinds, and ISE authentication within a VMware private cloud environment.

You will analyze traffic, assist senior engineers, deploy devices, operate Linux/Unix, and provide after-hours support while using SolarWinds, WireShark, and iPerf to diagnose issues;

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in science/tech related discipline and 5+ years relevant experience; Master’s degree with 3+ years, or 4 additional years in lieu of degree.
• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility and able to obtain TS/SCI.
• DoD 8570 baseline certification.
• Strong background in Microsoft Office tools and Visio.
• Record of success in completing programs and projects.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze network characteristics such as traffic, connect time, transmission speeds, packet sizes, and throughput.
• Assist more senior network engineers with installation, removal and modifications to network components.
• Configure, deploy, upgrade, and troubleshoot multivendor switches, routers, firewalls, and peripheral equipment in operational and test lab environments.
• Operate or administer Linux and Unix systems.
• Provide occasional after-hours operational support for network issues.
• Apply monitoring and management tools (SolarWinds, WireShark, iPerf) to analyze network activity and problems.
• Develop and maintain network topologies, diagrams and IP tracking.
