Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer to design, secure, and optimize LAN/WAN/VPN infrastructure across cloud and bare-metal systems for mission-critical space-based applications.

The role requires onsite work at the Sterling, VA facility and a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. The engineer will lead network planning, upgrades, and monitoring while ensuring compliance with government regulations and security policies.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study.
• 10+ years of technical experience in Network and Transport technologies, tools, and techniques.
• Deep expertise in Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware NSX, VPN technologies, cryptographic devices, routing and switching, and cloud networking.
• Experience supporting both classified and unclassified networks.
• Proficiency in network monitoring and analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Certifications in information security (CISSP or Security+) required.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and optimize LAN/WAN/VPN network infrastructures.
• Monitor and evaluate network performance and health.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network, hardware, software, and infrastructure issues.
• Plan, test, and implement network upgrades, configurations, and revisions.
• Ensure compliance with network security policies and government regulations.
• Evaluate emerging network and communication technologies.
• Provide escalation support and communicate incident status to management and customers.
• Conduct site surveys, planning, and design support.
• Maintain thorough documentation of network configurations, procedures, and incidents.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external service providers, and customers.
