Job summary

Viasat is seeking a Program Manager for the Advanced Space Products team to lead multiple spacecraft programs from development through delivery. You will manage budgets, timelines, risks, and cross-functional teams, ensuring program success while maintaining customer relationships and delivering results.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering/Science with DoD/space sector experience, US citizenship, and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

6+ years of progressive professional experience in program management or project execution roles.
Proven background in program planning, monitoring and control, financial accounting, contracts, risk management and earned value.
Experience leading development of space systems, spacecraft, components, and/or complex electromechanical systems.
Experience with manufacturing and test of space flight hardware.
Demonstrated experience managing program design, EVM, risk management and contract execution.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed build plans, procure activities, manage contract manufacturers, and oversee in-house manufacturing builds.
Collaborate with leadership to allocate personnel and resources for program execution.
Provide timely program execution, financial status, and risk reporting to senior leadership and customers.
Support capture and business development by leading cost estimates and program content.
Apply EVM and risk management to plan, monitor, and control costs, schedule and performance.
