Job summary

Viasat is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join the Government Connectivity, Data and Enterprise group in the United States. You will lead the technical execution of an advanced space network and enterprise program from early development through deployment, translating mission needs into actionable engineering plans and aligning across networks, operations, software, and integration teams.

You will drive cross-functional collaboration, manage scope, schedule, and risks, guide multi-domain

Qualifications

• 10+ years of system-level engineering experience.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain a United States Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technical field.
• Willing to travel up to 25%.
• Ability to collaborate across diverse engineering domains and drive alignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of an advanced space network and enterprise program from early development through deployment.
• Translate mission needs and high-level requirements into actionable engineering plans across networks, enterprise systems, operations, software, and integration teams.
• Coordinate system-level design activities and guide program execution across multiple domains for enterprise solutions networking.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and ensure consistent baselines and verification approaches.
• Prepare and deliver technical briefs and engineering documentation for internal stakeholders and government customers.
