Job summary

Northwood Space is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Planner to lead material planning and inventory execution across production and NPI programs. You will translate demand and schedules into actionable procurement strategies, collaborating with Manufacturing, Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, and Program Management to ensure material availability while balancing inventory investment.

The role requires deep MRP planning expertise, strong data analysis, and the ability to drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 5+ years of material planning, production planning, or inventory management in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP planning systems and material availability in complex environments.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
• Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Own material planning and inventory management for assigned product lines, ensuring material availability for production, NPI, engineering builds, and customer demand.
• Analyze demand, inventory, supplier lead times, and production schedules to forecast materials and manage supply commitments.
• Optimize inventory by adjusting lead times, safety stock, reorder points, and lot sizing; support ECOs and NPIs.
• Perform root cause analysis on shortages and discrepancies; implement corrective actions to improve inventory health and planning accuracy.
• Maintain ERP item master data, BOMs, supplier info, and planning parameters; develop dashboards to monitor availability and performance.
• Lead inventory optimization initiatives and mentor junior planners.
