Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA (with a site in Chantilly, VA) is seeking a Senior Acquisition and Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering and acquisition support for National Security Space, civil, and commercial customers. You will create and review RFPs, CDRLs, PWSs, SOOs, and SOWs, and lead requirements engineering activities.

The role emphasizes lifecycle management, TRDs, RTM maintenance, and the use of Digital Engineering concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is required (Master’s preferred).
• Experience with requirements development, verification, and lifecycle activities.
• Strong DoD compliance knowledge (DoD 5000.02) and Agile/DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering and acquisition support for National Security Space, civil, and commercial customers with emphasis on system acquisition and operational activities.
• Create and review acquisition documentation (RFPs, CDRLs, PWSs, SOOs, SOWs).
• Lead requirements engineering and analysis, gather RTM updates, and support lifecycle reviews and milestones.
• Mentor staff and support multi-disciplinary teams across space and ground systems.
