Job summary
The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA, is seeking a Software Systems Acquisition Engineer to join the Software Systems and Acquisition Department. The role focuses on acquiring software-reliant systems from planning through deployment, working with customers and contractors across the acquisition lifecycle.
Minimum qualifications include a STEM degree and 7–12 years of software engineering experience, plus hands-on Agile/DevSecOps expertise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM, computer science, or software engineering.
- 7–12 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience delivering software-reliant systems using Agile/DevSecOps.
Responsibilities
- Provide software systems engineering expertise to acquisition of software-reliant systems from pre-acquisition planning through source selection, development, integration and test, and deployment.
- Collaborate with customers and contractors to shape and execute software requirements in complex acquisition programs.
- Lead engineering analyses and studies on software requirements development, verification & validation, readiness reviews, risk management, technology planning and insertion, performance assessments and market research.
- Mentor junior staff as you grow your own career.
