Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Production Planner to develop and maintain detailed production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery. You will monitor real-time operations, optimize capacity, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to keep production flowing smoothly.

The role requires strong analytical skills, ERP experience (SAP/Oracle), and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

3 years of experience in production control, scheduling, or operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Experience with production planning tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
Strong analytical skills to interpret capacity and production requisition data for decision-making.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, high-tempo production setting.
Willingness to move and track hardware across the production floor and facilities.
Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and manage detailed manufacturing production schedules and departmental workflows to ensure sequence and lead times align with customer orders and forecasts.
Monitor production operations in real time and expedite activities that cause delays; adjust schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
Analyze plant capacity, production requisition data, and resource availability to determine optimal processes and identify bottlenecks.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality teams to align schedules with goals.
Prepare, maintain, and distribute production reports, performance metrics, and status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
Provide estimating support for production timelines, resource requirements, and capacity planning.
Support daily production meetings and tier reviews, driving rapid resolution of schedule risks and shortages.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within production control processes and implement best practices.
