Job summary

Amentum in Springfield, VA is seeking a Senior System Administrator to support mission-critical cloud and on-premise infrastructure. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and secure Linux/Windows environments, manage IAM, AD, and monitoring using Elasticsearch, Kibana, and AWS CloudWatch.

On-site daily work is required; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required. The role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams on the GEODS contract to ensure reliable data services for federal customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience or equivalent
• Associates degree with 7+ years experience or 8 years related experience
• Experience in cloud environments and security requirements
• Experience with Linux/Windows administration and patching
• Proficiency with IAM and AD management

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cloud systems.
• Isolate and resolve problems involving applications, OS, hardware, or communications infrastructure.
• Prepare problem reports to leadership and agencies.
• Deploy OS and application software to cloud compute resources.
• Monitor system health using tools like Elasticsearch/Kibana and CloudWatch.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate new technologies and migration of systems.
• Report status to management and internal customers.
• On-site work daily; TS/SCI with polygraph clearance required.
