Job summary

Blue Origin in California is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Interconnection Engineer to own end-to-end interconnection assembly design for the TeraWave modules, including connector selection, harness routing, and cable design for high-volume production.

You will drive DFX across the lifecycle, manage BOMs, supplier coordination, and manufacturing readiness reviews to ensure scalable, reliable hardware for orbital operations. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 10+ years in interconnection design, harness/cable engineering, or electromechanical assembly.
• Hands-on experience with crimping, soldering, potting, and line bring-up.
• Experience applying DFX principles (DFM/DFT/DFA/DFR) in volume production.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead interconnection assembly design for satellite modules and subsystems.
• Oversee harness routing, wire termination, and backshell integration.
• Manage BOM procurement and vendor coordination.
• Drive first-article inspection and manufacturing readiness reviews.
• Coordinate with supply chain and manufacturing partners to scale production.
