Responsibilities

• Own ruggedized enclosures, electro-optical assemblies, and fiber-optic integration from concept through flight release.
• Own the mechanical design of the electro-optical units, including modem processing, photonics units, transceiver hardware, and optical amplifier assemblies.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and PCB designers to ensure mechanical, thermal, and electrical design converge.
• Maintain thermal paths to keep lasers, modulators, and receivers stable enough to close a link.
