Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to spearhead FPGA-based product lines. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to define, design, build prototypes, and drive ground and flight testing to maturity.

The role demands strong HDL/RTL expertise, a history of FPGA development, and close coordination with hardware and software engineers to optimize performance and power efficiency. A security clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience developing HDL firmware for FPGA devices.
• Expertise in VHDL and/or Verilog/SystemVerilog for RTL design.
• Experience with FPGA design tools such as Xilinx Vivado or Intel Quartus.
• Strong hardware/software debugging skills using standard lab equipment.
• Proficiency with Git for version control in collaborative development.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA architecture, standards, development and review processes.
• Design, architect, simulate, and integrate VHDL/Verilog RTL into FPGAs or SoCs for optimized performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure firmware integrates with the overall system, including processor bring‑up and BSPs.
• Develop robust test benches in VHDL/Verilog and use lab tools for rigorous validation against specs.
• Optimize algorithms for hardware acceleration and use AXI/AXI‑Stream protocols.
