Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in Colorado Springs seeks electrical engineers at all levels to design high-speed digital electronics, including ADCs, DACs, FPGAs, processors and communications drivers for space systems across GEO, MEO, LEO and Cislunar missions.

You will analyze analog circuits, support product development and R&D, and collaborate with peers to meet time and budget constraints. US citizenship and ITAR compliance are required; a security clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering with 8 years' experience or a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of 10 years' experience in design, analysis, integration, and test of custom electronics can be considered instead of a master's degree.
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Experience designing high speed digital electronics including the use of ADCs, DACs, FPGAs, processors, and communications drivers.
  • Experience designing and conducting analysis of analog circuits including low-noise signal conditioning and power amplifiers
  • Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools (such as Altium, SPICE, MATLAB, Simulink, HyperLynx, and MS Office).
  • Ability to conduct circuit analysis and simulation to optimize performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Design custom high speed digital electronics including the use of ADCs, DACs, FPGAs, processors, and communications drivers.
  • Design, and conduct analysis of analog circuits including low-noise signal conditioning and power amplifiers.
  • Provide expertise to both product development and R&D efforts.
  • Collaborate with peers, leads, and managers to develop, review, and refine designs and analyses to meet program technical needs within defined time and budget constraints.
  • Work within a broad-disciplined program team providing expertise in support of electronics manufacturing and testing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
