Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Senior Cyber Systems Engineer to architect cyber security for spacecraft, linking flight software data to ground/test systems. You will shape requirements, architectures, and data formats for secure space vehicle operations.

Responsibilities include network planning, compliance assessments, and risk analyses to ensure a robust cyber posture for mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in space systems command and data handling.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Knowledge of CNSSP-12, NCSDMO-8, CNSSI-4003, CNSSI-4005 and NIST 800-53.

Responsibilities

• Plan and configure network topologies and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, routing).
• Use metrics to measure cybersecurity effectiveness and drive improvements.
• Assess compliance via monitoring technologies, audits, and corrective actions.
• Document space vehicle network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Support audits with documentation and evidence of compliance.
• Maintain policies aligned with security frameworks and internal standards.
• Conduct regular risk assessments across in-space systems mission area.
