Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect with a background in space and cloud computing to help space companies deliver missions through the power of AWS. The role spans launch services, human spaceflight, robotics, mission control, satellites, earth observation, ground segments, and related government capabilities.

You will lead architecture reviews, whiteboarding, demos, and workshops, build trusted relationships with customers, influence roadmaps, and evangelize

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technology domain experience (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to accelerate their missions and recommend best-practice architectures in line with their long-term business outcomes.
• Build technical relationships with customers and operate as their trusted advisor.
• Share the voice of the customer to inform the roadmap of AWS features.
• Participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures.
• Evangelise and educate about AWS technology through workshops, user groups and conferences.
• Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organisation by interviewing candidates and knowledge sharing.
• Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to customer outcomes.
