Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to join our Digital/Mixed-Signal Electronics team. You will own end-to-end design of complex electronics modules for space and aerospace applications, from concept through test and production, with hands-on involvement at every phase.

This role involves leading small teams, performing rigorous analysis, and presenting design reviews to customers and executives. A BS in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of board-level experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 8 years of board-level electronics design, analysis and test.
• Aerospace design experience preferred but not required.
• Expertise in digital and mixed-signal electronics, including signal integrity and SDR applications.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design of complex electronics modules from concept through schematic, layout, test and production.
• Lead small teams of hardware engineers to develop products with multiple modules.
• Develop hardware architecture and write requirements for systems of moderate complexity.
• Perform detailed schematic design and PCB layout in Altium Designer for complex boards.
• Conduct analysis such as worst-case, signal integrity, and power integrity; interpret results.
• Develop bring-up and verification plans; perform bring-up and validation with technicians.
• Release modules to production; collaborate with Manufacturing and Test Engineering.
• Mentor junior and senior engineers to grow technical skills and professional development.
