Job summary

Armanino Advisory LLC is seeking an experienced Internal Audit Senior Associate to support SOX 404 and internal audit engagements. The role focuses on guiding audits, supervising staff, and delivering high-quality work for clients in software, technology, and manufacturing sectors.

Ideal candidates will bring deep SOX expertise and serve as trusted advisors to clients and internal stakeholders. Strong communication and leadership are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting or corporate internal audit.
• Demonstrated understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act, COSO, internal audit, GAAP, and GAAS.
• Experience in supervising staff professionals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Great attention to detail with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Engagement.
• Demonstrated desire or progress on relevant professional designations (CPA, CIA).

Responsibilities

• Supervise, plan, and execute client engagements from start to finish, including engagement planning, field work, and reporting.
• Lead a team of staff members under supervision and communicate engagement status and issues.
• Monitor status of assigned area and ensure resolution of open questions and deadlines.
• Develop understanding of client business processes and evaluate internal controls.
• Prepare and update business process flowcharts, control risk matrices, and control descriptions.
• Assist with risk assessment, scoping, and design of controls for SOX engagements.
