Job summary

Compass Group USA's Levy brand at Moda Center in Portland, OR is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to lead culinary operations and ensure top-quality food, service, and guest experience.

You will assist in planning, ordering, inventory and food preparation, while coaching back-of-house staff to meet brand standards and health regulations. Experience in fine dining and a passion for great food are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 3 years of related culinary experience including 1 year at the management level.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, and/or related fine dining operations.
• ServSafe Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Execute menus in line with Levy brand standards.
• Maintain recipes and culinary standards.
• Conduct walkthroughs of culinary areas for events.
• Ensure food quality and presentation standards.
• Handle product control and inventory and equipment.
• Ensure safety, security, and sanitation standards are achieved.
• Provide operational planning to ensure adequate products and equipment.
• Support culinary team members during event preparation and execution.
• Proactively coaching and motivating team members to deliver their best.
