Job summary

Aspen One in Aspen is seeking a Sous Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations during shifts and to train staff to meet hotel and kitchen standards. The role includes covering the Chef’s responsibilities when absent and reporting to the Chef de Cuisine.

The position requires a culinary degree or equivalent experience, Serv Safe certification, and at least four years of progressive culinary leadership in a high-volume environment. Knowledge of English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or equivalent industry experience required.
• 4 years of progressive culinary experience including supervision/management in kitchens.
• Serv Safe certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist unit chef in all aspects of kitchen operations as directed by Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager.
• Coach, train and develop culinary employees.
• Oversee smooth kitchen operation and service execution.
• Supervise staff to meet kitchen standards and tasks.
