Job summary

Major Food Group is hiring experienced Sous Chefs with a strong work ethic to uphold the highest standards of cuisine and professionalism in our kitchens. We seek leaders who can source ingredients, develop recipes, organize a large team, and ensure smooth, high-volume service while maintaining cleanliness and budget controls.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in a management role and 4 years in a quality-driven, high-volume kitchen; a culinary diploma is preferred, with strong teamwork

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a managing capacity.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a quality-driven, high volume kitchen.
• Culinary diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Team-oriented with strong communication; Spanish language a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing ordering and receiving the highest quality ingredients
• Developing, teaching, and maintaining all recipes and techniques
• Organizing a large team and holding each chef accountable for their responsibilities
• Overseeing and maintaining a smooth professional service
• Maintaining all kitchen equipment and following up for any repairs needed
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization
• Overseeing scheduling and inventory to work within a set budget
