Compass Group USA is seeking a culinary professional to assist the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and maintaining a safe, sanitary environment. You will direct meal preparation in line with corporate programs and guidelines.

The role involves planning, ordering, inventory, and implementing cost controls, while rolling out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams. Leadership to back-of-house staff and a focus on food quality is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or A.O.S. in Culinary Arts with relevant training.
• 3–5 years of culinary experience.
• Mastery of a wide variety of kitchen positions and stations.
• Ability to think on your feet and adapt in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Knowledge of food cost and kitchen budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Support Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations.
• Prepare or direct meal preparation per corporate programs and guidelines.
• Ensure high quality, cost-effective food presentation.
• Assist in planning, ordering, inventory, and production.
• Support cost controls and expenditures for the account.
• Roll out culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
• Supervise staff to maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
• Motivate and train back-of-house staff to meet objectives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
