Job summary

Eurest in Costa Mesa is seeking a full-time Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef with food preparation and kitchen coordination at 3333 South Susan Street, Costa Mesa, CA 92626. The schedule is Sunday–Thursday, 12:00 pm–8:30 pm. Compensation ranges from $24.00 to $26.00 per hour, with an internal referral bonus possible.

Required is at least 4 years of production experience; applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Eurest offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time associates.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of production experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, and reviews.
• Stores food in designated areas following all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and serving temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils; keeps workstation clean.
