Job summary

Eurest, part of Compass Group USA, seeks a Sous Chef in Boise, ID to lead culinary operations and ensure high standards of food quality and presentation. You will oversee planning, ordering, inventory and food preparation in alignment with client culture and Health Department regulations.

The role emphasizes training, development and direction of back-of-house staff, with additional focus on cost controls and program rollouts to support client dining experiences.

Qualifications

• 5 years of culinary experience including 1 year at supervisory/lead level.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
• Knowledge of food trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, safety, food cost controls, and presentation.
• Ability to set up and distribute production sheets.
• Supervisory, leadership, training, management, and coaching skills.
• ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred.
• Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products including Excel.
• Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and participating in preparation and cooking of various food items.
• Assist with planning and creating menus.
• Roll out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
• Assist with managing cost controls and controlling expenditure.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
