The Rowing Pavilion, affectionately known as The Pav by locals, is seeking a driven Senior Sous Chef to join our passionate team. Located riverside in Mt Pleasant, we are renowned for our stunning views and commitment to top-tier food and drink.

As our business continues to grow, we need a natural kitchen leader who thrives under pressure, brings fresh ideas to the pass, and maintains composure during busy times. With a capacity for over 400 patrons, this role is ideal for someone ready to step up and play a key role in delivering consistent, high-quality service.

Job requirements

  • Experience in high-paced venues
  • Excellent people skills with a cool head in high-pressure environments
  • Passion for creating and innovating with food
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a sous chef
  • Ability to manage the kitchen in the absence of the head chef
  • Food Safety Supervisor certification
  • Weekend availability is required
  • Experience in ordering, stock management, and labour control
