Job Summary

Become a Senior Sous Chef with CulinArt at Point Park Cafe, Pittsburgh, PA, contributing a premierier dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in leading cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and build innovative menus
  • Produce and implement high-quality catering events
  • Implement new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary teams
  • Supervise and mentor hourly associates, encouraging a collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Coordinate the preparation and garnishment of menu items, ensuring strict adherence to culinary standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate with proven experience
  • Dynamic culinary/kitchen management experience, varying based on formal degree or training
  • Prior catering experience is a plus
  • Experience in high-volume, sophisticated foodservice operations is highly desirable
  • Institutional or batch cooking experience is beneficial
  • Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends, quality standards, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, E-mail, and Internet
  • Participation in patient satisfaction programs/activities is required
  • ServSafe certification is highly desirable
