Job summary

Proper Voltage Inc. seeks a Senior Manager, Sourcing and Procurement to own the mechanical supplier portfolio. You will build and qualify a production-ready supplier base, lead end-to-end commodity strategy, and drive cost optimization through rigorous should-cost analyses.

You will work across engineering, finance, and leadership to align on spend and readiness for scale. You will manage cross-geo supplier development, perform on-site supplier visits, and shape supplier performance frameworks.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or commodity management for custom mechanical components.
• Experience building supplier ecosystems from early stage to production scale.
• Hands-on should-cost modeling from raw materials to landed cost.
• Strong commercial instincts to reduce costs and negotiate complex agreements.
• Ability to operate independently with ambiguous requirements and move fast.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end commodity strategy for custom mechanical components.
• Build a production-ready supplier base in North America and Asia.
• Lead supplier negotiations for pricing, terms, lead times, tooling, and NRE.
• Support NPI by sourcing components ahead of builds and managing long-lead items.
• Monitor supply risk and qualify alternates to avoid single-source dependencies.
