Job Description Summary

As a Global Sourcing Leader, you will be part of a team responsible for $205M global semiconductor spend for both tier 1 and tier 2 supply base in addition to supporting our Strategic Business Units within the electronic component category. GE Healthcare is a leading global medical technology and digital solutions innovator. Our mission is to improve lives in the moments that matter. Unlock your ambition, turn ideas into world-changing realities, and join an organization where every voice makes a difference, and every difference builds a healthier world.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Strategy & Supplier Management: Develop and execute sourcing strategy for active components (semiconductors, ICs, FPGAs, power devices, memory). Optimize supplier base, drive dual/multi-sourcing, and manage supplier segmentation. Align supplier roadmaps with technology evolution, NPI, and lifecycle requirements.
  • Commercial Leadership & Negotiations: Lead strategic negotiations with key suppliers (pricing, contracts, capacity, terms). Execute RFQ/RFP processes and allocate business based on cost, capability, and risk. Drive cost productivity, payment terms improvements, and contract coverage.
  • Supply Continuity & Risk Management: Ensure continuity of supply through proactive risk assessment (capacity, allocation, geopolitical risks). Develop mitigation strategies including alternate sourcing, buffering, and supplier diversification. Manage supplier escalations, claims, and recovery actions.
  • Lifecycle & Obsolescence Management: Lead PCN/EOL management, last‑time‑buy strategies, and lifecycle risk mitigation. Partner with Component Engineering to reduce legacy dependency and improve product longevity.
  • Value Engineering & Cost Optimization: Drive VA/VE, redesign initiatives, and should‑cost modeling. Enable alternate component qualification and platforming opportunities for cost reduction. Deliver measurable cost savings through cross‑functional execution.
  • Market Intelligence & Analytics: Provide insights on pricing trends, lead times, and supply‑demand dynamics. Use data analytics to support sourcing decisions and cost forecasting.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Engineering, SBUs, Quality, EMS, and Program Management teams. Support NPI programs, redesign initiatives, and compliance requirements. Drive alignment across global stakeholders to ensure execution excellence.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering with Supply Chain or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in sourcing electronic components / semiconductors
  • Proven experience in supplier management, negotiations, and strategy deployment
  • Strong business and financial acumen
Desired Characteristics
  • Deep domain expertise in active components (ICs, semiconductors, power devices, memory)
  • Strong understanding of component lifecycle, obsolescence, and alternate sourcing
  • Proven ability to build and manage long‑term strategic supplier relationships
  • Strong influencing, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working in global, cross‑functional environments
  • Project/program management experience with measurable outcomes
  • Business Impact: Direct impact on cost, supply continuity, and product lifecycle for a multi‑million‑dollar electronics portfolio; key contributor to supplier strategy, innovation alignment, and business continuity in a volatile semiconductor market
