Job summary

GE HealthCare seeks a Global Sourcing Lead to drive strategic procurement of electronic components, managing a $250M spend across diodes, transistors, power devices and related categories. You will partner with engineering, BUs and suppliers to define category strategies, negotiate terms, and ensure supply continuity and cost reduction initiatives.

The role requires strong knowledge of the global electronics supplier landscape, hands-on experience with RFI/RFP processes, and the ability to lead

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 5 years experience sourcing electronic components/strategy building/Supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver KPIs across electronics categories (diodes, transistors, power devices, protection devices) including cost productivity and supplier base rationalization.
  • Lead annual negotiations with key discrete suppliers and execute RFI/RFPs.
  • Develop category strategies for discrete technologies with engineering on roadmaps and obsolescence mitigation.
  • Provide market intelligence on pricing trends, capacity shifts, and lead time variability.
  • Support quality, regulatory, and fulfillment requirements including supplier performance management and continuity planning.
  • Drive cross-functional execution across NPI, redesign programs and global supply-chain initiatives.

Job Description Summary

As a Global Sourcing Lead, you will be part of a team responsible for $250M in global electronic component spend. You will work with strategic business units, engineering and suppliers to negotiate and set category strategy and mutually achievable goals to drive business requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Deliver KPIs across Electronics component categories (diodes, transistors, power devices, protection devices) covering cost productivity, payment terms, supply risk mitigation, contract coverage, and supplier base rationalization.
  • Have strong knowledge of electronic component manufacturers globally.
  • Lead annual negotiations with key discrete suppliers, execute RFI/RFPs, and collaborate with engineering on cost‑down, alternate sourcing, and design‑to‑value initiatives.
  • Develop and execute category strategies for discrete technologies, aligning with GEHC Component Engineering on technology roadmaps, lifecycle management, and obsolescence mitigation.
  • Provide market intelligence for discrete components (pricing trends, capacity shifts, lead time variability, raw material drivers) to enable proactive sourcing decisions.
  • Support quality, regulatory, and fulfillment requirements, including supplier performance management, dual sourcing, and continuity planning.
  • Drive cross‑functional execution across NPI, redesign programs, and global supply‑chain initiatives, ensuring scalability, compliance, and supply assurance.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 5 years experience sourcing electronic components/strategy building/Supply chain.

  • Strong business and financial acumen; ability to act as a strategic business partner, influencing decisions and driving outcomes across cross‑functional teams.
  • Deep electronics domain knowledge of electronic components (diodes, transistors, power and protection devices), including understanding of applications, specifications, lifecycle, and supply market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain long‑term strategic supplier partnerships, optimizing performance across Cost, Cash, Quality, Fulfillment, and Contract execution.
  • Demonstrated experience in supplier base optimization and performance management within discrete electronics supply chains.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional and globally dispersed teams, driving alignment and execution.
  • Strong understanding of component engineering principles, including alternate qualification, obsolescence management, and design‑to‑value initiatives.
  • Capability to plan, document, communicate, and execute strategic programs with measurable outcomes.
  • Established project and program management skills, with a track record of delivering results in complex global environments.
