Job summary

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company seeking a Senior Product Sourcing Engineer for our Deployed Special Projects team in Costa Mesa, CA. You will architect critical supply chains and cost strategies, embedding with on-site engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to solve high-stakes challenges.

You will travel ~60% of the time, collaborate with suppliers, and lead cost engineering to optimize BOMs and total cost of ownership across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a technical field.
• 8+ years in sourcing engineering or related roles.
• Experience with value/Procurement engineering or TCO analyses at component/product level.
• Willingness to travel ~60% and relocate to Costa Mesa, CA.

Responsibilities

• Select suppliers from approved list to support a specific product.
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate development via scoping, trade studies, and should-cost models.
• Develop and consolidate a manufacturing BOM with QA/Manufacturing teams.
• Manage CAPEX throughout NPI.
• Map value streams to optimize lead time and flexibility.
• Complete BOM risk assessments with alternate sourcing.
• Ensure component qualifications ahead of production.
• Reduce complexity through commonality and supplier rationalization.
• Lead cost engineering to converge cost curves toward product cost.
• Address ad-hoc cost issues including tariffs and inflation.
