Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Product Sourcing Engineer for the Deployed Special Projects team. You will architect critical supply chains and cost strategies, embedding with engineering, quality and manufacturing on site at Costa Mesa.

Travel to key sites and suppliers is required to solve high-stakes challenges in real time. You will drive BOM development, manage CAPEX during NPIs, and lead cost engineering to optimize total cost of ownership across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field.
8+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement, or design of electronics/mechanical devices.
Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO at component/product level.
Ability to travel ~60% of the time, variable by program needs.
Ability to relocate for onsite in Costa Mesa, CA.

Responsibilities

Conduct supplier selection for a specific product using the approved supplier list.
Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development (concept scoping, trade studies, should cost/clean sheet models).
Lead development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM with Quality & Manufacturing teams.
Manage CAPEX throughout NPI.
Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize lead times and flexibility.
Complete BOM risk assessment with alternate component sourcing.
Ensure component qualifications ahead of production.
Reduce complexity through commonality optimization and supplier rationalization.
Lead cost engineering to converge to product cost and maximize total cost of ownership.
Manage ad-hoc cost issues including tariffs and cost inflation.
