Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is hiring a Senior Product Sourcing Engineer to drive strategic supply network development and cost management across product lifecycles. You will collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing to shape supplier strategy and deliver cost-effective hardware solutions.

You will lead supplier selection, support rapid product development, build cost models, and manage BOMs and CAPEX while optimizing TCO and lead times across internal and supplier

Qualifications

• 8+ years of sourcing engineering and supplier development experience.
• Experience with electronics and/or mechanical devices.
• Knowledge of value/procurement engineering and total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Willingness to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier selection for a specific product using approved suppliers.
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development via scoping and trade-offs.
• Create should-cost and clean-sheet models for cost targets.
• Lead design development through clear statements of work with suppliers.
• Simulate mechanical and electronics designs to optimize cost and performance.
• Develop and consolidate a manufacturing BOM with Quality & Manufacturing.
• Ramp production internally and with suppliers with high flexibility.
• Manage CAPEX throughout NPI and lead cost engineering activities.
• Perform value-stream mapping to optimize lead time and flexibility.
• Complete BOM risk assessments and alternate sourcing plans.
• Ensure component qualifications are completed ahead of production.
• Reduce complexity via commonality and supplier rationalization.
• Converge bottoms-up cost curves to product cost and maximize TCO.
• Handle ad-hoc cost issues including tariffs and cost inflation.
