Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Salt Lake City is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Integration & Test Engineer to lead testing and integration of complex sonar systems. You will plan tests, develop procedures, calibrate equipment, and coordinate with technicians to ensure quality results.

The role requires hands-on expertise with test instrumentation, strong problem-solving and the ability to travel up to 10% while obtaining a Secret clearance. On-site work with a 9/80 schedule offers periodic Fridays off.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline required; 6+ years in engineering field, or graduate degree with 4+ years experience; or 12 years related experience in lieu of degree.
3+ years experience using test equipment (analyzers, scopes, DMMs, DAQs, generators, spectrum analyzers).
2+ years experience with LabVIEW to communicate with instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
2+ years experience diagnosing and debugging circuit cards.

Responsibilities

Plan and direct component testing of complex sonar systems under limited supervision.
Develop and maintain test methodologies, processes and documentation.
Design, construct, calibrate and maintain test equipment and fixtures for sonar testing and tuning.
Conduct testing, troubleshooting and repair of complex sonar systems and test sets; document findings and generate test reports.
Lead and direct test technicians; review work performed by peers.
Support assembly and integration of products including mechanical alignment and testing.
