Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Salt Lake City seeks a Senior Specialist, Systems Engineer - Test to own the test process from concept through corrective action. You will collaborate with Design and Systems Engineering to create and refine test procedures and ensure high-quality product transitions to production.

The role requires strong root-cause analysis, mentoring of junior engineers, and the ability to obtain a US Secret clearance. 9/80 schedule applies to this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years prior experience, or Graduate Degree with 4 years prior experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

• Project management for Test Engineering development.
• Mentor Engineers with less experience.
• Provide input to organizational vision.
• Provide technical test consultation to internal organizations, contract manufacturers or customers.
• Represent Test Engineering in technical discussions to outside organizations.
• Evaluate contract manufacturers' capabilities to provide required products or services.
• Participate in product design review.
• Support manufacturing floor to help overcome production issues.

Job Description:

The Systems Engineer - Test position owns the test process, including concept, design, root cause analysis, and corrective action. The Test Systems Engineer will become a subject matter expert via collaboration with Design and Systems Engineering. The Test Systems Engineer will then apply their knowledge to create and refine test processes implemented by Testers and Technicians in Operations. Whenever issues arise, the Test Systems Engineer determines why the issue occurred as well as the corrective action to be implemented to prevent future, similar failures.
