About The Role

Solutions Engineers at Confluent are key in driving early-stage evaluation within the sales process and enabling ongoing value realization for customers. They help customers move up the adoption maturity curve by partnering with Account Executives as technical advisors. They surface customer needs and develop technical designs to meet these needs, facilitate discussions on new patterns, and drive creative solutions to technical challenges. Solutions Engineers are integral to the Customer Success Team, fostering sustained success and adoption of Confluent’s technologies.

What You Will Do

• Advance new and innovative Data Streaming use cases from conception to Go-Live
• Lead Technical Proofs of Concept
• Conduct Discovery & Whiteboard Sessions to develop new use cases
• Deliver Technical Talks and Workshops to provide Thought Leadership
• Assist customers with hands-on help and best practices to mature their Confluent deployment
• Analyze customer consumption trends and identify optimization opportunities
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams, advocating for the product across the ecosystem
• Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders as a dependable partner

What You Will Bring

• 5+ years of Solutions Engineering or similar experience
• Experience with Event-Driven architecture, Data Integration & Processing, Database & Data Warehouse technologies
• Exposure to Cloud Architecture, Migrations, Deployment, and Application Development
• Experience with Automation, GitOps, and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or SQL
• Technical certifications such as Cloud Developer/Architect, Data Engineering & Integration
• Self-starter attitude, eagerness to learn, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Ability to present confidently to diverse audiences including developers, enterprise architects, and C-level executives
