About The Role

Solutions Engineers at Confluent play a vital role in both early-stage evaluation during the sales process and ongoing value realization for customers. They partner with Account Executives as technical advisors, helping to identify business needs and develop technical solutions. They facilitate discussions on innovative data streaming use cases, conduct proof of concepts, and provide technical guidance to help customers adopt new patterns confidently. They are key members of the Customer Success Team, fostering customer success and promoting the adoption of Confluent’s technologies.

What You Will Do

• Advance new and innovative data streaming use cases from conception to go-live.
• Lead technical proofs of concept.
• Conduct discovery and whiteboard sessions to develop use cases.
• Deliver technical talks and workshops to provide thought leadership.
• Assist customers with hands-on support and best practices to enhance operational maturity.
• Analyze customer consumption trends and identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams and advocate for the product within the customer ecosystem.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and serve as a reliable partner.

What You Will Bring

• 5+ years of solutions engineering or similar experience.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture, data integration, processing techniques, databases, and data warehouses.
• Experience with cloud architecture, migrations, deployment, and application development.
• Skills in automation, GitOps, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or SQL.
• Technical certifications such as Cloud Developer/Architect, Data Engineering, or Integration.
• A self-starter attitude, eagerness to learn, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of engaging audiences from developers to C-level executives.
