About The Role

Solutions Engineers at Confluent drive early-stage evaluation within the sales process and play a crucial role in ongoing customer value realization. They partner with Account Executives to be technical advisors, identify business needs, and develop technical solutions. They facilitate discussions, inspire confidence in adopting new patterns, and help overcome technical challenges. Solutions Engineers are key members of the Customer Success Team, fostering sustained success and promoting adoption of Confluent’s technologies.

What You Will Do
  • Advance new & innovative Data Streaming use-cases from conception to Go-Live
  • Lead Technical Proofs of Concept
  • Conduct Discovery & Whiteboard Sessions to develop use-cases
  • Deliver Technical Talks and Workshops to provide Thought Leadership
  • Assist customers with hands-on support and best practices to enhance operational maturity
  • Analyze customer consumption trends and identify optimization opportunities
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams, advocating for customers’ needs
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, serving as a reliable partner
What You Will Bring
  • 5+ years of Solutions Engineering or similar experience
  • Experience with Event-Driven architecture, Data Integration & Processing, Database & Data Warehouse technologies
  • Experience with Cloud Architecture, Migrations, Deployment & Application Development
  • Knowledge of Automation, GitOps, and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, or SQL
  • Technical certifications in Cloud Development/Architecture, Data Engineering & Integration
  • Self-starter attitude, eagerness to learn, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, comfortable with audiences from developers to C-level executives
