About The Role

Solutions Engineers at Confluent play a crucial role in evaluating and enabling ongoing value realization for customers. They partner with Account Executives to serve as technical advisors, identify customer needs, and develop technical solutions. They facilitate discussions, inspire adoption of new patterns, and help overcome technical challenges, fostering customer success and increased adoption of Confluent’s technologies.

What You Will Do

• Advance new & innovative Data Streaming use-cases from conception to Go-Live
• Lead Technical Proofs of Concept
• Conduct Discovery & Whiteboard Sessions to develop new use-cases
• Deliver Technical Talks and Workshops to provide Thought Leadership
• Guide customers with hands-on help and best practices to enhance operational maturity
• Analyze customer consumption trends and identify optimization opportunities
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams, advocating for customers’ needs
• Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders

What You Will Bring

• 5+ years of Solutions Engineering or similar experience
• Experience with Event-Driven architecture, Data Integration & Processing, Database & Data Warehouse technologies
• Exposure to Cloud Architecture, Migrations, Deployment & Application Development
• Experience with Automation, GitOps, and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or SQL
• Technical certifications in Cloud Development/Architecture, Data Engineering & Integration
• Self-starter attitude, eagerness to learn and solve hard technical problems
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills, confident engaging with technical and executive audiences
