Job summary

Saint-Gobain Performance Polymer Solutions in the United States is seeking a product design engineer focused on sealing solutions. You will apply polymer, metallic, and elastomer materials knowledge and general engineering principles to create robust sealing components.

In this role you will collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Technical teams, solving complex problems across diverse markets while managing time-constrained projects and proactively improving processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science or Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Polymer Science or equivalent.
• Master's degree in Materials Science or Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Polymer Science or equivalent (preferred).
• 5+ years experience in specialized Industries/Markets, manufacturing environment and ability to communicate with customers on technical issues.
• Understand the customer application and build application expertise.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD; Design and Develop sealing components; Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T; Use project management tools to lead activities.

Responsibilities

• Bridge the Sales, Operations, and Technical Team to solve advanced issues related to sealing design.
• Tackle problems across diverse markets with their unique challenges.
• Work under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
• Be proactive in initiating creative improvements to processes and approaches.
