Job summary

Saint-Gobain Performance Polymer Solutions, located in California, seeks a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to plan and lead manufacturing initiatives, launching new products while improving profitability on existing lines.

Responsibilities include driving efficiency, reducing scrap, guiding cross-functional teams, and updating critical docs. A strong background in engineering/manufacturing with leadership and 10+ years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Manufacturing required.
• Master's in Engineering/Manufacturing preferred.
• 10+ years in an engineering role with leadership/management and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement projects to improve facility efficiency, reduce scrap, and improve product quality.
• Manage teams in focused areas of productivity improvement.
• Interact with department leadership to ensure effective implementation of systematic changes.
• Lead facility improvement projects supporting maintenance and 5-S efforts.
• Collaborate with production to resolve shop-floor issues.
• Create and update manufacturing and engineering documentation and train personnel for procedures.
• Work with management to identify and develop new processes.
