Job summary

SMX is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to lead the design of solutions supporting business functions and client requirements within the DoW Solutions line. The role focuses on architecture leadership, delivering high-quality applications, and driving innovation across projects.

You will guide execution of internal and external solutions, mentor teams, and contribute to proposal development while engaging in industry panels and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Clearance required: Top Secret.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 10+ years in solution architecture or related roles in corporate or government environments.
• Experience with software life-cycle management, systems engineering, and diverse development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, SAFe).
• Experience as a Solution Architect with full life-cycle customer implementations.
• Knowledge of modern IT practices, DevSecOps, and cloud operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise on customer engagements to address complex solution architecting and project issue resolution.
• Lead architecture and specification development for next generation solutions for our customers and advise development teams.
• Provide technical leadership to teammates and client service delivery through coaching and mentorship.
• Stay abreast of innovation in development tools and computing systems through training and professional engagement.
• Develop and institutionalize go-to-market strategies for software applications and solutions.
• Assist in requirements collection, analysis, and development across project execution from design to delivery.
• Ensure project procedures and controls are identified, communicated, and followed.
• Provide regular project status updates regarding progress, resources, risks, and changes.
