Job summary

SMX is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to lead solution design for Department of War initiatives and client engagements. You will drive architecture decisions, mentor teams, and align projects with innovation priorities and delivery excellence.

Responsibilities include requirements gathering, proposal leadership, and risk management across full lifecycle. Strong DoD/govt experience, Top Secret clearance, and cloud proficiency are required. Remote-friendly with potential on-site work.

Qualifications

Clearance required: Top Secret.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or commensurate work experience.
10+ years in corporate/government solutions, architecture, and leadership roles.
Experience with software life-cycle management and various development methodologies.
Experience with cloud operations (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Strong communication and storytelling skills.

Responsibilities

Lead design of next‑gen solutions for customers and guide delivery teams.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to teammates and client services.
Develop go‑to‑market strategies for software applications and solutions.
Collect and document software requirements, timelines, and work plans for project execution.
Lead proposal activities and support new business opportunities.
