Job summary

SMX seeks a Senior Director for the DoW Solutions group to drive architecture, design, and delivery of advanced software solutions for government clients. You will lead solution architecture, guide development teams, and shape project execution from design to delivery, ensuring high-quality applications and enhanced user experiences.

The role requires a Top Secret clearance, 10+ years in relevant fields, and strong leadership with expertise in Agile/SAFe, cloud operations, and modern IT

Qualifications

• Clearance Required: Top Secret.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or commensurate work experience.
• At least ten years in software lifecycle, systems engineering, or related fields in corporate or government environments.
• Experience as Solution Architect with full life-cycle customer implementations.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, SAFe methodologies.
• Experience with cloud operations (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern IT practices like DevSecOps.
• Strong ability in visual design, data analysis, and storytelling for technical solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on customer engagements and solution architecture.
• Lead architecture and specification development for next generation solutions.
• Mentor teammates and guide client service delivery.
• Stay current with development tools, techniques and computing systems.
• Develop go-to-market strategies for software applications and solutions.
