Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) in Santa Clara, CA, is seeking a senior Solutions Architect to lead architectural design and technical strategy for customer solutions, and to deliver high‑level product presentations to executives.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in interconnect solutions, a background in electronic engineering, expertise with modeling tools (Pro/E or SolidWorks) and MS Office, and a proven ability to win design opportunities while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer or Electrical Engineering.
• Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
• Electronic engineering background (signal transmission, EMI/EMC, signal integrity).
• 10+ years of product marketing and sales technical support to produce design wins.
• 10+ years of experience working in interconnect solutions.
• Deep knowledge of system architecture (connector/cable company or customer side).
• Extensive experience with modeling tools and Microsoft Office Products.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and technical strategy for customer solutions involving Amphenol products
• Provide strategic technical marketing support for the development and implementation of Amphenol products
• Prepare materials and lead high-level product presentations to key stakeholders (including executives)
• Provide advanced customer service to solve complex interconnect problems and technical inquiries
• Devise and implement strategies to differentiate our products and solutions from our competitors
• Lead efforts to meet and exceed strategic objectives
• Mentor junior engineers and provide leadership within the Field Applications Engineering team
• Travel will be required
