Job summary

You act as a trusted technical advisor across workloads, guiding adoption, and collaborating with sales and product teams to deliver value. This role requires hands-on design, prototyping, and ongoing customer engagement in on-site settings with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technology domains (software, cloud, infra, security, networking, data & analytics)
• 3+ years in design/implementation/consulting for applications/infrastructure
• Bachelor's degree or cloud certification (e.g., Solutions Architecture)
• Experience with at least one modern language (Python, Java, TypeScript)
• Proven sustained technical advisory relationship with customers
• Ability to advise on architecture and design and build working solutions independently
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience defining technical approaches with multiple viable paths

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solutions, balancing security, scalability, reliability, performance, cost, and ops
• Serve as trusted technical advisor to customer stakeholders and connect architecture to business outcomes
• Make business outcomes tangible through architecture reasoning, proofs, or demos
• Evaluate existing architectures to identify gaps and modernization opportunities
• Develop and validate solutions in sandbox and non-production environments
• Incorporate governance, security, resiliency, observability in deliverables
• Collaborate with sales, BD, PS, support, product/engineering to drive adoption through launch
• Provide input to product teams with customer evidence to shape direction
• Lead design reviews and capture reusable assets and patterns
• Mentor team members and recruit technical talent
• Create prescriptive content (reference architectures, workshops, white papers) and represent AWS at events
