Job summary

Vets Hired is seeking a Deputy Program Manager / Senior Solutions Architect to lead enterprise IT modernization, cloud and hybrid solutions, and cybersecurity programs. This role guides architecture, strategy, and digital transformation, ensuring secure, scalable IT environments while coordinating with cross-functional teams and senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years in enterprise IT operations, DoD or Federal environments.
• Experience with cloud, virtualization, networking, cybersecurity, automation, and IaC.
• Familiarity with RMF, ATO, STIG, vulnerability management, and ITIL practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical advisor on enterprise IT strategy and modernization initiatives.
• Lead planning, design, and implementation of enterprise infrastructure modernization projects.
• Develop cloud, hybrid, virtualization, networking, and cybersecurity architectures.
• Drive automation, orchestration, IaC, and ServiceNow workflow improvements.
• Provide technical leadership across systems engineering, networking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams.
• Support enterprise and research computing environments with secure and scalable solutions.
• Conduct architecture reviews, technical assessments, and engineering evaluations.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure program success.
