Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect based in California to lead the technical strategy for customers, owning architecture discussions, driving platform adoption, and acting as a trusted advisor to customer technical teams.

You will design scalable, production-grade solutions across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics, coordinating across DSAs, SSAs, and partners, while influencing product direction with customer feedback.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical role.
• Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL with live coding, debugging, and building solutions.
• Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture and lakehouse patterns across cloud platforms.
• Proven ability to lead architecture discussions with senior stakeholders and perform design reviews.
• Experience deploying to production on AWS, Azure, or GCP with security and governance considerations.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative field (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical strategy for accounts from discovery to production deployment.
• Lead complex architecture discussions spanning data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer architects and engineering leads.
• Drive platform adoption and consumption growth within accounts.
