Job summary

Saint-Gobain Group seeks a Solutions Application Engineer to bridge customers, sales, operations and engineering, translating customer needs into engineered sealing solutions throughout design and manufacturing stages.

The ideal candidate will have strong engineering fundamentals, proficiency in SolidWorks, clear communication, and a willingness to travel to customer sites to support discussions and business development. joint collaboration across departments is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or materials field.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to understand application requirements and recommend technical solutions.
• Develop designs, proposal drawings, and engineering documentation using SolidWorks.
• Serve as the primary technical resource during customer discussions, design reviews, and qualification activities.
• Work closely with Sales to develop business opportunities and support customer visits.
• Partner with Operations, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet customer requirements.
• Support DFM, MRB, product improvement, and root cause analysis activities.
