Job summary

Belden Inc. is seeking a Solution Consultant to join the Solution Consulting & Services team in the US, focusing on converged IT/OT network solutions and secure data transmission for industrial and enterprise environments.

The role emphasizes leading demos and proofs-of-value, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development, and delivering technically sound, financially impactful solutions with strong customer collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelors or 8+ years related experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
8+ years of consultative, pre-sales experience in enterprise/industrial environments with OT/IT infrastructure design and implementation.
Experience designing, deploying, commissioning or maintaining copper or fiber networks; supports wireless/WLAN/WAN networks.
Experience with AIA MasterSpec, CAD, Bluebeam and estimating tools.
Ability to translate technical solutions into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of technology trends and competitors' solutions.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (50%+).
RCDD, DCDC, CDCP or other ICT/IT/OT certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Partner with Sales to drive bookings by delivering outcome-based solutions.
Navigate customer challenges and build solutions for successful outcomes.
Define and develop infrastructure requirements; originate designs and BOMs.
Utilize standard tools to articulate scope, design, installation, and testing requirements.
Lead development of OneBelden solutions and integrate third-party products as needed.
Collaborate with SCS to translate requirements into technical solutions with financial value.
Coordinate with CIC Solution Support for POCs.
Ensure smooth handoff to execution with CommOps/PMO.
Provide technical leadership for sales and solution delivery.
Maintain knowledge of Belden products and contribute to marketing content.
Create documentation, case studies, and how-to materials.
Maintain designs and artifacts using prescribed tools.
Feed market feedback to product management for development.
Represent customer voice in BU strategy and new products.
