Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Sr. Solution Consultant to provide technical leadership from requirements through production rollout for Enterprise Solutions.

The role requires deep knowledge of system architecture, ECM technologies (including OCR), and workflow, with hands-on experience in .NET, C#, ASP.NET, HTML5, and JavaScript. Remote work with travel up to 25% is expected, supporting client projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related work experience in solution consulting or software implementation.
• Experience with imaging, document management, OCR tech is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

JOB TITLE: Sr. Solution Consultant

DEPARTMENT: Enterprise Solutions

REPORTS TO: Professional Services Manager

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No

JOB LOCATION: Remote

TRAVEL: up to 25%

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Solution Consultant will provide technical knowledge to a variety of projects from the initial requirements gathering to the final production rollout. They will interpret, create, install, configure and test software programs for business applications. Candidates should have an understanding of: system architecture, Enterprise Content Management (ECM) technologies (including scanning), quality control, workflow, databases, and interfaces and is able to identify task level assignments from high level design.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops OnBase solutions dealing in areas of document capture, document storage, workflow, and other OnBase areas.
• Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
• Participates in internal design reviews of Functional Specifications.
• Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm program meets specifications.
• Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with program.
• Analyzes and determines functional specification for customer requests and confers with systems users to clarify objectives and determines the feasibility of the requested services.
• Consults with clients to analyze and understand functions to be automated, client needs, objectives, desired features, and input and output requirements.
• Researches and evaluates software and hardware to assist in programming or to use as program platforms.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):

• A minimum Bachelor's degree in a Technical discipline or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 2+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and expertise.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):

• Experience with Imaging, document management, content management and OCR technology is 2+ is a strong plus.
• Experience in the OnBase suite of products or capture and workflow solutions (FileNet, Documentum, OpenText, Content Management, Kofax, AnyDoc, etc.)
• .NET programming
• Experience with N-tier web based applications using C# and ASP.NET
• Ability to extend web applications to create dynamic user experiences leveraging HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery and/or AJAX
• Microsoft certified in: Technology Specialist (MCTS), Professional Developer (MCIPD), IT Professional (MCIPT), Imaging Architect (CDIA+), or ECM Practitioner (ECMp) a plus.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD), Certified Document Imaging Architect (CDIA+), Certified OnBase Installer or Workflow Architect are a plus.
