Job summary

The Solution Consultant will provide technical knowledge to projects from requirements gathering to production rollout. They will interpret, install, configure and test software programs for business applications, with a focus on ECM, document management, and workflow.

Understanding of system architecture and interfaces, plus ability to identify task-level assignments from high-level design, is essential. Remote work is offered with up to 25% travel; strong communication with clients and teams

Qualifications

• Minimum of a technical bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develops OnBase solutions dealing with document capture, storage, workflow, and other OnBase areas.
• Writes and maintains documentation describing program development, logic, testing, changes, and corrections.
• Participates in internal design reviews of Functional Specifications.
• Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and ensure alignment with specifications.
• Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with the program.
• Analyzes and determines functional specifications for customer requests and clarifies objectives with users to determine feasibility.
• Consults with clients to analyze and understand functions to be automated, client needs, objectives, input/output requirements.
• Researches and evaluates software/hardware to assist in programming or to use as program platforms.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Solution Consultant will provide technical knowledge to a variety of projects from the initial requirements gathering to the final production rollout. They will interpret, create, install, configure and test software programs for business applications. Candidates should have an understanding of: system architecture, Enterprise Content Management (ECM) technologies (including scanning), quality control, workflow, databases, and interfaces and is able to identify task level assignments from high level design.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops OnBase solutions dealing in areas of document capture, document storage, workflow, and other OnBase areas.
• Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
• Participates in internal design reviews of Functional Specifications.
• Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm program meets specifications.
• Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with program.
• Analyzes and determines functional specification for customer requests and confers with systems users to clarify objectives and determines the feasibility of the requested services.
• Consults with clients to analyze and understand functions to be automated, client needs, objectives, desired features, and input and output requirements.
• Researches and evaluates software and hardware to assist in programming or to use as program platforms.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE)

• A minimum Bachelor’s degree in a Technical discipline or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 2+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and expertise.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE)

• Experience with Imaging, document management, content management and OCR technology is 2+ is a strong plus.
• Experience in the OnBase suite of products or capture and workflow solutions (FileNet, Documentum, OpenText, Content Management, Kofax, AnyDoc, etc.)
• Experience with N-tier web based applications using C# and ASP.NET
• Microsoft certified in: Technology Specialist (MCTS), Professional Developer (MCIPD), IT Professional (MCIPT), Imaging Architect (CDIA+), or ECM Practitioner (ECMp) a plus.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD), Certified Document Imaging Architect (CDIA+), Certified OnBase Installer or Workflow Architect are a plus.
